Head for the Hills….was your last get away a little lacklustre?  Missing  that va va voom – a bit flat?

If so say hello to County Tyrone – just the hilly holiday tonic.

Feast your eyes on this for destination inspiration.  The largest of Northern Irelands’s counties.  Tyrone has terrific towns and hamlets; each with wonderful places to stay over and dine out.  The county is blanketed with rugged ranges, moors of shrubbery and heaths festooned with wild heather.  It has peatlands, a shoreline along Lough Neagh and rugged terrain.  On its west side, Tyrone is carpeted by the Spectacular Sperrin Mountains – the biggest range in Northern Ireland.  Hike over its grassy heaps, stopping en route to try some adrenaline pumping activities.  Take in a music festival, hunt for craft treasures or survey some ancient stone sites.

It is home to leisurely cycle routes, challenging walks, excellent angling, and a wealth of ancient stones and historic sites.  Then there are extreme driving courses, ancient stone sites, exhilarating events, mountain biking and food trails.  And, of course, a definite magic.  You’ll swear you can hear the whispers of fairies, pixies and goblins….

Say no to flat holidays.  Instead, visit Tyrone for a more elevated experience…
